Renault Zoe - Manufacturer specification
SourceFrom the manufacturer’s published sheet for this model. Individual units in a fleet can differ.
Power and speed depend on the market a vehicle was built for. EU pedal-assist bikes are capped at 250 W and 25 km/h under EN 15194, and scooter limits are set nationally - 20 km/h in Germany, 25 in most of the rest. On shared fleets these are normally firmware settings rather than hardware, so ask us what a fleet is currently configured to and what it can be set to for your market.
Variants of this model differ. 'Renault Zoe' covers four materially different cars over twelve model years and the badge does not distinguish them. Q210 (2012 - mid-2015): 22 kWh usable, 65 kW/88 hp motor, 210 km NEDC, and uniquely capable of 43 kW AC charging. R240 (mid-2015 - late 2016): still 22 kWh, 65 kW, but 240 km NEDC and the 43 kW AC capability was REMOVED, capping it at 22 kW. Z.E.40 (late 2016 - 2019): 41 kWh, 305 kg pack, R110 80 kW, 186 miles / c. 300 km WLTP, 400 V, 4,084 × 1,730 × 1,562 mm, 1,575 kg, 195/55 R16, front 259 mm ventilated discs with 9-inch REAR DRUMS — the ZE40 press kit figures. Z.E.50 (2019 - March 2024, the figures recorded above): 52 kWh, 326 kg pack, R110 80 kW or R135 100 kW, 383-395 km WLTP, four-wheel ventilated discs. Three cautions for a fleet buyer. First, NEDC and WLTP are not comparable: a 240 km NEDC R240 is roughly a 150 km real car, so do not rank a 22 kWh Zoe against a 52 kWh Zoe on the printed numbers. Second, BATTERY RENTAL — many Q210, R240 and ZE40 cars were sold with the pack on a monthly Renault lease (roughly EUR 69-119/month) that transfers with the car and can be terminated by Renault, which means a lot can arrive where you do not own the batteries you just bought; the Z.E.50 was normally sold battery-owned. Third, the facelifted Zoe scored ZERO STARS at Euro NCAP in 2021 after the 2013 car scored five, which matters for any operator with a duty-of-care policy. The Q210's 43 kW AC charging also means charger infrastructure that suits one generation may not suit another. Confirm generation, battery ownership and charge capability per VIN before pricing.
