Short version: we keep what you send us so we can do the deal, we run no advertising or analytics trackers at all, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.
Fleetser is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@fleetser.com or on +31 6 3631 5548, and those are also the addresses to use for anything in section 8.
Your name, company, work email, phone number if you give one, and whatever you tell us about the fleet you want or have: type, quantity, where it is sitting, who owns the IoT backend, and any message. We use it to answer you and to work on the deal. The legal basis is that this is what you asked us to do, and our legitimate interest in running a business people can contact.
The above, plus what you bid per unit, how many units you want, the deposit amount, whether the deposit has been paid, and the payment reference our payment provider gives us. We need this to run the auction and to return or apply your deposit afterwards. The legal basis is the contract you are asking us to enter into. Your bid amount is not published, not shown to other bidders, and not used to derive any figure shown anywhere on this site.
Your email address and nothing else, on the basis of your consent. The field is ours, so your address goes straight into our own database rather than through a third-party form. Every alert has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw at any time by using it or by emailing us. Withdrawing does not affect anything sent before you did.
Our hosting provider records ordinary server logs: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time. That is standard for keeping a site up and secure, and it is our legitimate interest in doing so.
We also count how many times each listing page has been loaded. That counter is a single number per listing. We do not set a cookie for it, we do not give you an identifier, and we do not record which pages any individual looked at. The user agent is checked in passing so that bots are not counted, and it is not stored against the count.
This site sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no tracking pixels. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, and no social media pixel. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
Two small things are stored by your own browser, for your convenience, and are never sent to us: whether you have dismissed the deal-alerts pop-up, so it stops reappearing, and whether you have closed the gold strip at the top, for the rest of that browsing session. Clearing your browser data removes both.
Pages that embed a form or a checkout hand you over to that provider, and their own cookie practices apply there. Those providers are named below.
We use a small number of suppliers, each doing one job:
They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. Where one of them is outside the European Economic Area, the transfer relies on an adequacy decision or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Separately, our WhatsApp, Telegram and calendar-booking links take you to services run by other companies. Once you follow one of those links you are on their platform, under their privacy policy, not ours.
In a live deal we pass a buyer’s or seller’s details to the other side of that deal, and to a freight forwarder or customs agent where we are arranging shipping for you. That is what makes the transaction possible. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
The database is not publicly reachable and the admin area is behind a login. Bids in particular are visible only to us: there is no page, feed or API on this site that exposes them, by design. We do not store card numbers anywhere, because they never reach us.
There are none. No profiling, no scoring, no automated decision that produces a legal or similarly significant effect for you. A person reads every enquiry and every bid.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to what we do with it, or to have it sent to you or another provider in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email support@fleetser.com and we will come back to you within a month.
Some things we cannot delete on request, chiefly records of a completed transaction that we are required to keep for tax purposes. If that applies we will say so and explain which part.
If you think we have got this wrong, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or to the authority in your own country. We would rather you told us first.
If we change how any of this works we update this page and the date below it. If a change is significant and you are on the deal alert list, we will tell you.
